Day 01
Airport  Colombo  32 KM / 60mins

You will be met on arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport by our Visit in lanka representative who will assist you with your luggage and guide you to your vehicle where cold towels and your personal chauffeur guide await. 
Begin your journey through Sri Lanka in the capital city; Colombo.
Time permitting, enjoy a city tour of Colombo and explore the colonial architecture of the Fort as well as the local markets, residential areas and religious sites of the commercial capital of Sri Lanka.

Day 02 Colombo  Sigiriya
140 KM / 3 Hrs

Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast at the Park Street and begin you journey to Sigiriya. 
Arrive in Sigiriya and check in to the Vil Uyana, a unique boutique hotel within a stone throw away from the Sigiriya Rock Fortress where you will have the afternoon at leisure to explore this incredible property and its surroundings.
Late afternoon drive to Habarana and enjoy an Elephant Back Safar in-to the jungles of Habarana in search of birds, crocodile, and elephants.
Return to Vil Uyana.

Day 03 Sigiriya – Polonnaruwa

After an early breakfast at Vil Uyana, you will be able to climb the 5th century citadel of Sigiriya which is one of the 7 UNESCO world heritage sites in Sri Lanka. Built by king Kassyapa, Sigiriya was a 70 hectare fortified city with moats ramparts and gardens. It is a must see for any visitor to Sri Lanka where it is considered the 8th wonder of the world.
Continue your journey of discovery to Polonnaruwa, a UNESCO world heritage site and ancient capital of Sri Lanka. They are many ruined temples and palaces as well as the spectacular reservoir the Parakrama Samuda (The sea of Parakrama) and the Gal Vihara (Buddha statues carved out of sheer rock) to witness and discover.
Return to the Vil Uyana for Dinner and Overnight Stay (Paddy / Marsh)

 

Day 04 Sigiriya  Dambulla  Kandy

After breakfast, visit the Dambulla cave temples, yet another UNESCO world heritage site and visit the ancient rock temple adorned with hundreds of rock painting of the Buddha and many kings and deities. 
Continue your journey to Kandy en route to stop a Spice garden in Matale. Arrive in Kandy and check in to the Kandy House, a stylish boutique hotel in the heart of Kandy.
In the evening you will visit the Temple of the Tooth, the holiest Buddhist temple in Sri Lanka where the tooth relic of the lord Buddha is believed to be enshrined. Kandy is also a UNESCO world heritage city and the last independent kingdom that held out against British colonial rule.

Day 05 Kandy  Pinnawala  Kandy

After breakfast, proceed to Pinnawala where you will visit the famous Elephant Orphanage, the only one of its kind in the world. It’s a conservation project for orphaned and injured elephants and you will be able to see the little jumbos being fed and bathed in the nearby river.
Return to Kandy, and enjoy a city tour of Kandy including visits to the royal botanical gardens, the panoramic views of Kandy from upper lake drive and a visit to the Peradeniya campus grounds. You will also get an opportunity to walk around the bustling Kandy town.
Evening, you will witness a Kandyan cultural dance performance and return to Kandy House for dinner and overnight stay (Shanthi)

 

Day 06 & Day 07 Kandy  Hatton

After breakfast take a picturesque drive through the tea plantations & the beautiful country side and arrive and check-in to a Luxury room at the Ceylon Tea Trails for a 2 night stay.
The Ceylon Tea Trails is a collection of Colonial bungalows converted into stylish boutique hotels and is a unique concept in Sri Lanka. Your stay at the Tea Trails includes all meals specially prepared by a chef from an a la carte menu and is served in a location of your preference by your very own butler. Day 08, 09 & Day 10 Hatton  Koggala

Early breakfast at the Ceylon Tea Trails and proceed to the Fortress in Koggala for a few days of relaxation by the beach. The fortress is a fine and stylish boutique hotel located in arguably one of the finest beaches in Sri Lanka and you will spend 3 nights here.

Day 11 Koggala /  Airport

Early breakfast at the Fortress, proceed to airport for your departure flight or extend your stay at The Fortress or another resort of your choice.
